Diversification

Keeping abreast of planning has helped to achieve our diversification projects but dependent on your LPA, your vision can go either way.  You can research and do the sums but once you hit the planning brick wall it's so easy to give up.

William and his family have met that wall head on and on more than one occasion. With the future of his farm and family in the forefront of his mind and his belief that there's always a way to succeed, today our farm now has a mix of residential and commercial converted farm buildings.

Three of our poultry sheds are now 12 properties from 1 bed to 3 beds achieved under full planning.

Two of our barns are now 3 residential properties which were granted under Class Q permitted development. Long Meadow is now a 5 bed property and 1&2 Old Meadow are 2, 3 bed properties.

We also have a fourth barn which benefited from Class P. 1&2 Five Acres are now 2, 2 bed properties.

We have a further barn which was granted permission under Class Q for 2 properties which has benefited from full planning to insert a first floor.

Our fourth poultry shed has now been granted full planning permission to be converted into 7 residential properties.
