June

25th June saw the start of the Vintage Charity Tractor Run.  Starting from the farm and touring Herts, the sun was shinning and all set for a great day.

We were overwhelmed when Barry arrived for our owl box watch where he found 5 chicks.  It’s a record for us so thanks to all those involved in making it so.

A Defibrillator has now been installed on the farm and is located on the barn opposite  1&2 Five Acres

Annual bird survey 

With April comes the start of our annual BTO breeding bird survey so look out for Allan who will be walking about the farm.  

Our bird populations have been pretty stable over the last few years. We try to provide a wide range of habitats which encourages farmland birds, helping future breeding populations. 

February 2022

It’s hedge cutting time and what a fantastic job Dave has done again and all with his vintage hedge cutter.  

His skill is being acknowledged though as he is going to be featured in the vintage tractor magazine. 

February 2022 Big Farmland Bird Count 

We took part as did many other farmers to record the bird life around the farm.  We caught sight of buzzards and kites / blue tits and wagtails.
