Sustainability

Borehole -The creation of a bore hole in 2012 has ensure that 12 of our properties are self sufficient, making energy and water savings.

Recycling - We encourage our tenants to recycle waste with accessible bins, clearly labelled and E-newsletters to remind them. Our site manager has a daily task of making sure our communal refuse area remains tidy and any surplus waste is directed to the correct area.

Any large items are collected by us and we allocate an area for a private credited recycling company to pick up recyclable items.

We litter pick and have installed signs in an attempt to keep a tidy farm for all.

Solar - With the rising costs of electricity, 12 years ago we installed solar panels to some of our agricultural buildings and now install on any new or converted property be it residential or commercial.

Superfast broadband - Working in partnership with the CLA, Open Reach and BT, in 2019, our community fibre project was completed.

We’d previously explored other avenues, satellites and dongels and both served a temporary but not a permanent answer.

Our community fibre project meant that cables needed to be brought up to our farm from the main exchange in one of our nearby villages. This consisted of both underground and over ground, resulting in our existing poles being fitted with fibre cables which allows us to deliver fibre direct to all of our buildings.

We now have lines delivering super fast broadband direct to the doors of both residential and commercial properties, with more  available should we need them in the future.

Bringing fibre direct has enabled home working which served us throughout Covid 19 and continues to do so.
